Job Summary
Experienced Employment Law Paralegal in-office role supporting civil litigation. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints and memoranda; organizing exhibits and evidence; interfacing with administrative agencies including the EEOC; e-filing in federal and state courts; preparing discovery documents and responses; drafting and serving summons; coordinating depositions; drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents for filing; liaising with clients, co-counsel, and courts to obtain needed documents and update on case status; and maintaining organized case files and communications.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- At least 2+ years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
- Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)
- General Litigation Experience, preferably in federal court
- Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices.
