Job Summary
The Employment Instructor assists with Supported Employment through the OVR program during the summer, requiring daytime hours to support youth. Responsibilities include establishing relationships with local employers, developing supportive relationships with participants, preparing employment proposals, negotiating job opportunities, ensuring compliance, and assisting participants in developing job readiness and interviewing skills. The position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, reliable transportation, and experience working with at-risk youth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- High School or GED required with minimum one year of paid experience working with young adults.
- Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
- Experience working with at risk youth and families as well as employers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
- Bilingual/Spanish Speaking Candidates a plus.
