Job Summary
Employment Counsel provides day-to-day legal counsel on employment-related matters including employee relations, disciplinary actions, accommodations, leave management, wage and hour compliance, and terminations; assists HR and leadership with compliance across federal, state, and local employment laws; helps develop and implement employment policies; conducts and supports internal workplace investigations; supports EEOC/state agency responses and employment-related litigation; assists with compliance audits, risk assessments, and trainings; requires JD, active U.S. bar, and 2–3 years of employment-law experience; preferred experience in hospitality/aviation/multi-site environments and bilingual skills.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 2–3 years of employment law experience, preferably handling investigations, EEOC responses, and employee relations matters
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII, and related regulations
- Experience supporting workplace investigations and employment-related disputes
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while exercising sound legal judgment and discretion
