Job Summary
Employment Consultant role in Prince George, BC, focused on helping clients obtain and sustain employment. Responsibilities include conducting client needs assessments, developing and updating action plans, managing client case files in the primary information system, coordinating with employers and community resources, providing individualized job search and sustainment support, ensuring documentation and privacy requirements, and staying informed about applicable employment programs and funding. Requirescoxpertise in coaching clients, familiarity with labour market resources, ability to collaborate with organizations, and a criminal record check; degree/diploma is preferred or equivalent experience. Bilingual ability (French/English) would be an asset. This position offers a salary of $54,300 per year plus benefits, and requires Monday–Friday in-centre work with travel to different locations within the catchment.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., career or employment development, vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, sociology, human services, counselling, education, or human resources management) preferred; or equivalent experience
- Criminal record check (must submit)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Experience in the Employment Services Sector
- Experience with provincial government and online tools such as ICM and online employment services
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Bilingual (French and English) would be an asset
