Job Summary
Employment Consultant provides one-to-one coaching and vocational support to individuals with IDD, guiding them through the job-seeking process, onboarding, and ongoing training while managing documentation, compliance, and employer relationships to foster sustainable employment. Responsibilities include person-centered job placement support, travel training, maintaining relationships with participants, guardians, Vocational Rehabilitation counselors, and employers, documenting progress in SETWorks, and supporting fundraising and outreach activities. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, proficiency with Office 365, the ability to travel locally, and a willingness to participate in occasional weekend events. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of professional experience
- Ability to engage individuals with IDD empathetically
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Public speaking, group facilitation, and engaging presentations
- Familiarity with Office 365 and basic social media
- Strong writing and time management
- Autonomy with teamwork in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel within the local area; use of personal cell phone for work-related communication
- Occasional weekend work for fundraising events
- Access to reliable transportation
- State accreditation and ability to obtain federal suitability clearance for Ticket to Work program
