Job Summary
Provide individualized employment support including job search and placement assistance, resume/cover letter development, career counseling, coaching to enhance interviewing skills; conduct group Assessments, Orientation and Job Club; complete case notes and program documentation; ensure timely delivery of services; conduct outreach and attend local job fairs; advocate on behalf of clients to access services and benefits; collaborate across agency programs and develop relationships with community organizations; manage follow-up on client placement and recruitment activities; handle petty cash and distribution of gift cards for client supportive services; requires strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, familiarity with veterans benefits, and the ability to work with diverse populations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Associate's degree in a related field
- satisfactory equivalent of education and experience
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Drug screen
- Fluent English (read/write/communicate)
- MS Word and Excel skills
- Ability to sit for long periods
- Ability to work with diverse population
- Veteran status a plus
