Employment Case Manager & Job Developer - Regular Part-Time

Job Summary
Conduct needs and strengths assessments to develop individualized action plans for clients, then provide short-term employment retention support by addressing workplace challenges and connecting them with resources. Build and maintain relationships with local employers and industry partners to identify opportunities, conduct job development activities including outreach and labour market research, and advocate for sustainable placements aligned with client skills. Support clients through job coaching, onboarding procedures, and training while assisting with navigating external employment services and educating them on employment rights. Record client data and report outcomes through relevant platforms, while building networks with community stakeholders to improve settlement experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant post-secondary education in immigration services, adult education, social services, employment services, or a related discipline
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in the same or a closely related field
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must work well with people
- Demonstrate knowledge of the challenges that may be part of immigrant settlement in Canada
- A demonstrated record of working with diverse populations, employers, training providers, community resources and other employment related service providers
- Knowledge of the local labour market
- Knowledge of community resources
- Knowledge of government programs
- Knowledge of job search techniques
- Knowledge of career development
- Knowledge of issues relating to unemployment
- Ability to effectively coach clients within set parameters and time frames
- Ability to provide services effectively to clients in a one-on-one and group format
- Ability to provide services effectively to clients by outreach and remote access methods
- Ability to match between a client's skill set and abilities, and the needs of an employer
