Employer Relations Manager | Academic Success & Career Center (Pullman, WA)

Job Summary

Build relationships with corporate and community organizations to promote hiring WSU students and graduates. Increase job postings, recruitment activity, and hiring for the university while generating monetary and non-monetary support for the Career Center. Plan, implement, and evaluate Career Expo/Fairs and associated events. Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate professional and undergraduate student staff. Serve on departmental and university committees to support the strategic plan. This full-time, permanent on-site role in Pullman, WA, offers a salary of $4,500 to $4,900 monthly with overtime eligibility. The position includes benefits such as paid leave, health insurance, retirement, and tuition waivers. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree with three years of student services experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience
  • A Master's degree in a related field
  • Commitment to higher education and student success
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining professional relationships (e.g. employers, alumni, and/or community partners)
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and evaluating events, programs, or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience recruiting, training, supervising, leading, and mentoring professional staff, student employees, or project teams
  • Experience promoting services, programs, or initiatives through presentations and outreach
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain a valid driver's license by time of hire
  • Meeting requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards
  • Employment eligibility verification as required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

  • Experience working in higher education, talent acquisition, or university career services
  • Experience developing partnerships that resulted in increased recruiting activity, sponsorships, or other financial/non-financial support
  • Experience planning and managing career fairs, recruiting events, or large-scale programs
  • Knowledge of student career development, internship programs, and college recruiting practices
  • Experience using CRM, employer relations, recruiting, or career services management systems
  • Experience serving on cross-functional committees, task forces, or strategic initiatives
