On-siteWest Virginia, United States

Full TimeSmallEducation Services

Job Summary

Build and manage an employer pipeline by identifying, prioritizing, and cultivating West Virginia businesses where child care impacts hiring, retention, and productivity. Maintain a consistent in-person presence at Rotary Club meetings, chambers of commerce, economic development authority gatherings, and local HR events. Use discovery conversations to understand workforce needs and guide business leaders through the Tri-Share model, contribution options, and State matching structure. Move qualified employers from initial contact through application, enrollment, and launch while coordinating with the operations team. Create disciplined travel, outreach, and follow-up plans; maintain accurate CRM records for activity, pipeline, and enrollment progress. Represent employer feedback internally, sharing market insights, objections, and partnership opportunities with program and leadership teams.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of success in employer engagement, B2B sales, partnerships, economic development, workforce development, benefits consulting, or a similarly consultative external-facing role
  • Strong appreciation for West Virginia's local, relationship-based business culture
  • Exceptional in-person communication skills, including the ability to engage owners, executives, HR leaders, community partners, and civic leaders in formal and informal settings
  • Demonstrated consultative sales ability: uncovering a business problem, making a clear value case, managing a multi-touch decision process, and respectfully asking for commitment
  • Comfort operating independently in a high-travel field role while managing a pipeline, documenting activity, meeting goals, and coordinating closely with remote teammates
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout West Virginia, including occasional early-morning, evening, or community-event commitments
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Belief that affordable, reliable child care is a workforce and economic-development issue, and enthusiasm for helping employers become part of the solution

Desired Qualifications

  • Established statewide or regional networks are strongly preferred
  • Active relationships with West Virginia employers, chambers, EDAs, Rotary Clubs, trade associations, workforce organizations, or industry groups
  • Experience with employee benefits, public-private partnerships, child care, workforce initiatives, or social-impact programs
  • Ability to use basic ROI, retention, absenteeism, or workforce data to support employer decision-making
