Job Summary

Coordinate the organization's recruitment program by reviewing applications, tracking applicant flow, conducting initial screenings, and partnering with hiring managers to select qualified candidates. Manage pre-employment screenings including background checks, MVR reviews, and reference checks, then facilitate new employee orientation and benefits enrollment. Maintain confidential personnel records, HRIS data, and statistical reports while ensuring compliance with employment laws and Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines. Support employee services programs, handle resignations and terminations, and update employee records to reflect changes in personnel data. Perform all other duties as assigned under limited supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of computer database programs and HRIS systems
  • Must possess technical proficiency in computer operations and software, to include Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of or the ability to learn, understand and interpret Human Resource Law to include the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act and general employment practices, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity Guidelines to include Title VII Civil Rights Act, ADA and ADEA
  • Good knowledge and strong understanding of Human Resources roles, functions, processes and programs, thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public
  • Ability to present ideas and information in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to maintain files, records, and reports
  • Ability to operate general office equipment, to include computer, copy machine, fax machine, multiple database programs, and calculator
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems
  • Ability to exercise independent decision making
  • Ability to interpret and explain general policies and procedures
  • Ability to effectively interface with the general public, department managers, and co-workers
  • Must possess solid experience in recruitment and interviewing

  • Must possess a valid drivers' license

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or University with emphasis in Human Resources, Business or General Administration with a minimum of three (3) years human resources experience with emphasis in talent acquisition and recruitment
  • Minimum of five (5) years of human resources experience with emphasis in talent acquisition and recruitment as an equivalent combination of education, skills and experience
