Job Summary
Employee Relations Specialist responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for employee relations concerns, coaching leaders on performance and conflict management, conducting unbiased investigations, documenting findings, guiding managers through PIPs and disciplinary actions, ensuring policy and legal compliance (FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA), supporting training and development, and leading employee engagement initiatives; role requires on-site work at Princeton, NJ with collaboration across HR functions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 2-3 years' experience in employee relations including conducting investigations, employee discipline sessions, and employee performance reviews
- PHR certification highly preferred
- Strong practical knowledge of Federal and State HR laws; ability to guide managers on ER issues
- Experience partnering with managers and company leaders on employee relations issues
- Exceptional communication, mediation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct fair, thorough, and confidential investigations
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
