Job Summary

Employment Equity & Transformation and Labour Relations specialist leading EE strategy, transformation initiatives, and unionised labour relations in a highly regulated oil/energy environment. The role requires deep expertise in South African labour legislation (EE, LRA, BCEA, Skills Development Act), governance of EE processes, workforce analytics, and strategic advisory to executives. Responsibilities include managing EE governance structures and reports (EEA2/EEA4), driving workforce transformation aligned to organizational targets, advising leadership on EE targets and hiring practices within compliant frameworks, overseeing disciplinary and grievance processes, representing the company in CCMA and bargaining council matters, supporting collective bargaining, and delivering data-driven workforce insights. Strong HR analytics capability, stakeholder engagement with unions and leadership, governance and training delivery, and budget oversight for labour-relations activities are required. The role operates with significant influence across HR and operational teams, delivering predictive insights to mitigate labour-related risks and enable a high-performance culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Law, Industrial Relations, or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Labour Law, Employee Relations, or HR Management advantageous
