Job Summary
Own high-risk casework including disciplinaries, grievances, conduct issues, and organisational change cases. Lead tribunals and settlements by managing claims end to end, overseeing ACAS conciliation, and drafting settlement agreements. Shape ER strategy by setting direction across the Group and spotting risks early. Own HR policies by drafting, reviewing, and modernising them while turning case themes into training for HR Business Partners and managers. Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and senior leaders. This role requires hands-on experience with complex, high-risk ER cases and direct tribunal exposure. Report to the People Director and lead a team of three.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience leading complex, high-risk ER cases
- Direct experience with tribunal claims
- Direct experience with ACAS conciliation
- Direct experience with settlement agreements
- Strong, current knowledge of UK employment law
- Confidence using ER data to spot trends and inform decisions
- Strong stakeholder management
- Experience delivering ER/policy training
- Experience with serious conduct issues
- Experience with contentious grievances
- Experience with organisational change cases
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial organisation
