Job Summary
Oversee workers' compensation claims from initial injury reporting through resolution, coordinating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and legal representatives. Manage employee relations issues including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation by serving as the primary point of contact for complaints and conducting thorough investigations. Develop return-to-work programs and modified duty plans while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Maintain accurate records, prepare reports to identify trends, and conduct training sessions on harassment prevention, diversity, and inclusion. Collaborate with the Head of HR to review and update company policies and assist in other HR areas as needed. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations and workers' compensation management
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, particularly in relation to workers compensation
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- High degree of integrity, working with sensitive information, understanding privacy laws
- Strong project management and organizational skills, particularly in managing multiple project priorities simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient with payroll software preferably, Rippling
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
