Employee Relations Advisor

Job Summary
Manage employee relations cases from initial consultation through resolution, providing expert advice on disciplinary, grievance, conduct, capability, and absence matters. Advise managers on people policies, procedures, and UK employment legislation while overseeing investigations, hearings, and appeals. Coach and influence stakeholders to promote best practice people management, identify policy trends, and maintain accurate case records ensuring data protection compliance. This role supports frontline and blue-collar workforces within a fast-paced operational environment. You will work with the People Team to influence employee experience and organisational success, applying L.A.N.E.S values of being Leading, Agile, Nurturing, Engaging, and Safe & Secure.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in an Employee Relations or HR Advisory role with a strong ER focus
- Proven experience managing disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence cases from start to finish
- Strong practical knowledge of UK employment law and its application within the workplace
- Excellent coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Strong investigation, analytical and decision-making capability
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high levels of professionalism under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working within a fast-paced operational environment
- Experience supporting frontline or blue-collar workforces
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or currently working towards it
