Job Summary

Provide on-track safety by setting up derails, track signs, and safety tools while coordinating job sites and maintaining radio contact with dispatchers and train crews. Conduct mandatory, thorough job briefings with all crew members before they enter the track and enforce all federal, state, and company policies. Prepare daily field reports documenting rule violations and utilize communication tools to support train movement coordination. This role requires extensive travel, 50% to 85% of the time, and successful completion of required training. Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in the use of tablets, smartphones, and communication tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a railroad company preferably in the maintenance of way department
  • Ability to successfully complete Federal, Client, and/or Company Specific Training
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment/recurrent background checks
  • Must be able to successfully pass drug/alcohol testing
  • Must be able to successfully complete classroom training
