Job Summary

Provide on-track safety by setting up derails, track signs, and safety tools while coordinating job sites. Conduct mandatory briefings with all crew members before they enter the track and maintain radio contact with Dispatchers and Train Crews to communicate safety status. Prepare daily field reports documenting rule violations and enforce all Railroad, State, and Federal Policies. Utilize tablets, smartphones, and communication tools to support train movement coordination. This role requires extensive travel, 50% to 85% of the time, and successful completion of Federal, Client, and Company-specific training.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in the use of tablets, smartphones, and communication tools to support coordination of train movements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time; sometimes months at a time
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a railroad company preferably in the maintenance of way department
  • Ability to successfully complete Federal, Client, and/or Company Specific Training
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment/recurrent background checks
  • Must be able to successfully pass drug/alcohol testing
  • Must be able to successfully complete classroom training
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
