Job Summary
Conduct acute care for episodic illnesses, manage worker's compensation injuries, and oversee occupational health services including new hire assessments, DOT physicals, and drug testing. Perform onsite screenings for cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and vision; order and interpret diagnostic tests to assess clinical needs. Manage infectious disease outbreak protocols, coordinate mass asymptomatic testing, and provide lifestyle counseling for disease prevention and chronic disease management. Maintain confidential electronic medical records, monitor departmental budgets, and ensure patient safety through policy implementation and risk identification.
Required Qualifications
- Training and current certification as an NP
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- Minimum of 2 years of staff management, including delegating, developing, coaching, and motivating employees
- Must have strong interpersonal skills
- Current licensure in the state where working
- CPR certified
- Phlebotomy skills
- Must complete regulatory online Health Stream courses and attend the orientation for understanding the Person Centered Approach to care
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with electronic medical records
- Knowledge of FMLA, Workers' Compensation, ADA, and OSHA
- Knowledge of computer-based medical records management systems
