Job Summary

Develop new business and retain existing accounts by building strong relationships with client senior management. Coordinate client servicing within departmental scope, maintain the Agency Management System, and establish rigorous file maintenance protocols. Provide quarterly Business Production status reports to leadership and coordinate training needs for support staff. Attend departmental and sales meetings as required while participating in networking and industry functions that may extend work hours. Maintain client confidentiality, solve complex problems with minimal guidance, and operate standard office equipment including telephone, copier, and personal computer. Travel 15% to 30% for trips ranging from one day to a week, both in and out of state.

Required Qualifications

  • College graduate
  • Minimum of five to ten years group health or benefits product sales experience through brokerage companies
  • Valid unrestricted Life and Disability License in California
  • Meeting continuing education requirements for Life and Disability License
  • Required certification through continuing education if involved in the sale of Long Term Care
  • Strong technical Employee Health & Benefits background
  • Attention to details
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent oral presentation skills
  • Willingness to participate as a leader and contributor on the sales and service team
  • Familiarity with the local Employee Health & Benefits marketplace
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of personal computing
  • Ability and willingness to learn and use all computer programs as required
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (Telephone, Copier, Fax and Personal Computer)
