Employee Experience Specialist – Culture & Inclusion Programs

Job Summary
Administer company-wide culture programs, including employee rewards, recognition events, branded workwear, and diversity and inclusion (D&I) initiatives aligned with organizational strategy. Plan and coordinate D&I programs for all employees, serving as a subject matter resource for training, presenting segments during new employee and leader orientations, and managing the D&I calendar and communications. Partner with talent acquisition to track Affirmative Action progress, collaborate with PCS leaders to deliver engagement events, and recommend improvements based on survey feedback. Create design assets for culture programs and support the PCS team by maintaining the Team site, handling inquiries, and building cross-functional relationships. Work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with weekly in-office days at the Olympia headquarters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business administration, communications, or a closely related field
- Five years of experience in Human Resources, project management, organizational development, employee experience/engagement, communications, or a related field working on culture initiatives
- Understanding of the employee lifecycle and human resources processes and concepts including, but not limited to talent acquisition, employee experience and diversity and inclusion
- High degree of cultural competence, interpersonal skills and logical reasoning skills
- Demonstrated aptitude and experience preparing clear, polished communications, presentations and program materials that engage diverse audiences and make complex information easy to understand
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams and Microsoft forms
- Knowledge of and experience with diversity and inclusion concepts
- Demonstrated project and/or event management experience which may include leading team initiatives, organizing workplans, tracking timelines and deliverables, coordinating cross-functional team members and following through on details
- Well-developed and tactful interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear messages, edit for tone and accuracy, and tailor communications to different audiences
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion
- Ability to work under pressure while consistently producing accurate work
- Business writing experience, including drafting clear communications, summaries instructions or other materials for internal audiences, and comfort presenting to or training small and large groups in a professional presentation environment
- Ability to interact with and build productive working relationships with coworkers at all levels of the organization
- Excellent conceptual, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be highly self-directed, flexible, and collaborative
- Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, full-time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this position
- In-office days in Olympia Headquarters are weekly every Wednesday, and periodically other days as needed for meetings, training and events
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of state and federal employment law
- SharePoint experience
- HR and/or diversity & inclusion related certification
- Knowledge of HR systems
- Financial industry or financial institution experience
- Experience creating and analyzing surveys or using survey tools
- Experience documenting processes, improving workflows or implementing process improvements
- Experience and comfort delivering constructive feedback to various audiences
