Job Summary
Oversee employee recruitment, development, and store productivity while managing back-of-house operations and hardline merchandise rotation. Conduct career path check-ins, provide coaching on progress, and ensure compliance with online training programs. Analyze sales and margin data to identify trends, supporting policy implementation and budget decisions for vendors and systems. Monitor donation coverage, POS operations, and store environment standards to maintain customer service levels. Communicate policies via binders and boards, delegate challenging assignments, and lead on 12- to 24-month projects. Requires two years of college, five years of experience, forklift certification, and a schedule including closing shifts and weekends. Champions Goodwill's community engagement initiatives and volunteer opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of college education or experience equivalency
- Minimum of 5 years experience
- Forklift certification, if required at site
- Working phone that allows for communication accessibility
- Ability to work varied schedule and flexible hours
- At least two closing shifts per week
- Every other weekend as scheduled
- Additional nights and weekend shifts availability
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to move about to accomplish tasks
- Ability to raise objects from lower to higher position or move objects horizontally
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to reach upwards or downwards to retrieve objects
- Ability to work in weather conditions (hot, humid, dry, cold etc.)
- Ability to be subject to human blood, body fluids or tissue
- Ability to be subject to hazards: proximity to dangerous machinery, moving vehicles, electrical currents, chemicals, or high places
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to hear and respond to warning devices on equipment
- Ability to use computer keyboard and work with written and electronic information
- Ability to assess store and donation center operations
- Ability to travel
