Job Summary
Employee Benefits Account Manager responsible for developing and nurturing client relationships in a mid-market portfolio (50-300 person groups), overseeing onboarding, enrollment, billing reconciliation, claims management, and regulatory compliance; acts as liaison between clients and insurance carriers; manages client correspondence and files; collaborates with internal benefits team to ensure seamless service delivery; in-person role based in Altamonte Springs, FL; requires Life & Health license and strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be self-motivated and disciplined with a strong work ethic to exceed expectations and goals
- Active Life & Health 2-15 license
- Proven knowledge and experience in the employee benefits industry; self-funded knowledge and marketing experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sales Force, and Employee Navigator preferred
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to effectively handle multiple and changing client priorities and deadlines
- Ability to effectively present information electronically, verbally, and in-person
- Must handle sensitive information confidentially and in accordance with agency guidelines
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with a portfolio of clients, serving as their trusted advisor on matters related to employee benefits
- Manage a book of business as assigned, comprised of mid-market accounts (50-300 person groups)
- Oversee the administrative aspects of client accounts, including onboarding, enrollment processes, billing reconciliation, claims management, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and effectively
- Address incoming correspondence and requests promptly and appropriately. Document all correspondence in the agency management system
- Maintain accurate and updated client files per agency guidelines within the agency management system
- Partner closely with the internal benefits team to ensure the seamless delivery of services and resolve any client concerns or requests in a timely manner
- This position in performed in-person in the Altamonte Springs location.
