Job Summary
Employee Benefits Account Manager (Key Accounts) serves and maintains client accounts, supports Producers and the client team across the policy cycle, and acts as the main day-to-day contact for clients. Responsibilities include facilitating renewals, preparing materials and reports, updating internal systems, coordinating cross-functional work, liaising with insurance carriers on eligibility, billing, policy interpretation, and contract review, organizing client meetings, managing carrier changes and documentation, identifying opportunities for cross-sell and upsell, overseeing open enrollment communications, implementing new client lines of coverage, staying current on industry changes, and managing item resolutions with a goal of timely follow-through. Travel up to 25% may be required for client meetings. Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and broker-management systems, are expected.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of applicable Employee Benefits experience
- Licensing or certification requirements per state/regional statutes
- Advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g. CEBS, GBA, HIA, RHU, REBC)
