Job Summary
As an Employee Benefits Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for client and carrier inquiries, attend client meetings with the Strategic Account Executive as a Subject Matter Expert for administrative matters, review and ensure accuracy of plan documents, draft communications about new plans or changes, conduct employee training/webinars, coordinate enrollment and renewal activities, and guide clients through ERISA requirements and Form 5500 filings in collaboration with the Project Analyst. The role emphasizes maintaining client files, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing ongoing education and support to clients and their employees, leveraging strong communication, organization, and confidentiality skills. This position requires a bachelor's degree (preferred), relevant broker or account-administration experience, and Minnesota Life and Health licensing. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities within HUB International, including a salary range of $80,000 to $95,000 annually, depending on location and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
- Minnesota Life and Health License
- Prior broker experience with employer groups of 100+ employees, benefit/insurance customer service and/or account administration, or related field (preferred)
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Experience with Form 5500 filings (or ability to coordinate)
- Ability to coordinate with carriers and clients on plan implementation and enrollment processes
- Ability to educate clients via meetings or webinars
