Employee Benefits Account Manager - Fully Insured

Job Summary
Oversee a portfolio of fully insured employee benefits clients as their trusted advisor and primary day-to-day resource. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, producers, carriers, and internal teams, coordinating policy administration, renewals, enrollments, and ongoing account maintenance while maintaining accurate records within agency systems. Build relationships by understanding business objectives and delivering customized solutions, collaborating with specialists to assist with marketing, carrier negotiations, and renewal strategies. Prepare reports for client meetings and stay informed on legislation and industry trends to identify process improvements. Travel periodically to client locations and carrier meetings as business needs require.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience managing a book of Employee Benefits insurance accounts
- Active Life & Health (L&H) Insurance License
- Previous customer service or account management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Travel periodically to client locations, carrier meetings, and regional offices as business needs require
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with an agency management system or CRM, preferably EPIC
- Insurance agency or brokerage experience
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
