Job Summary
Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned to K-12 standards and student IEPs within an Alternative Learning Behavior Supported Classroom. Create a structured, trauma-informed environment that promotes safety while implementing evidence-based strategies for behavior management and social-emotional learning. Collaborate with counselors, psychologists, and external providers to support student well-being, actively participating in student meetings, support teams, and family conferences. Utilize data collection systems to track behavioral incidents and academic growth, applying de-escalation techniques as needed. Support transition planning for students to return to general education. This role serves students with significant emotional and behavioral needs to build self-regulation skills, fostering strong relationships with families and staff within Harrison School District's Professional Learning Community.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Arkansas Teaching License
