Emissions Test Technician - Day Shift

Job Summary
Emissions Lab Test Technician performs vehicle emission testing on full vehicles mounted on chassis rolls, including installation of vehicles and instrumentation, calibration of test systems, site computer operation, and data validation/analysis to follow a video road speed trace across emission test cycles. The role involves operating with manual transmission, adhering to safety protocols, and working a day shift in Allen Park, MI as a full-time employee with benefits. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills are required; prior chassis roll experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred. The position emphasizes hands-on testing, instrumentation work, data collection, and collaboration within the emissions testing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
- Associates degree in Automotive Technology or two years college courses in automotive engineering or related disciplines and/or two years relevant experience desired
- Prior emission vehicle chassis roll experience preferred
- Must possess the ability to drive a manual transmission
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to work day shift: 7AM-3:30PM
- Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Full-time employee of Amentum (NOT a contract position)
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must have clear, concise communications in English (verbal and written)
