Job Summary
EMIS Services Specialist responsible for the delivery of EMIS software support services to educational entities associated with the NEOnet consortium. Responsibilities include developing understanding of EMIS procedures and software, providing rapid troubleshooting, planning and delivering user training, maintaining access to EMIS-related systems (e.g., ODEW, OH|ID, ODDEX, Data Collector, Secure Data Center), ensuring accuracy and timeliness of EMIS data submissions, collaborating with district staff to align data for funding, preparing training materials, mentoring EMIS Liaisons in advanced data reporting techniques, and performing district EMIS services as needed while escalating incidents with state support agencies. Membership in OAEP and attendance at statewide EMIS meetings are expected, along with other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand software documentation
- Ability to train others in the use of software applications
- Familiarity with various computer systems and ability to use associated computer equipment
- Ability to apply EMIS business rules and validation logic
- Language skills: reading, analyzing and interpreting technical documents; writing reports; presenting information
