Job Summary
Advise high-growth startups and leading investors on seed and venture capital financings, corporate governance, and domestic M&A transactions from formation through exit. Manage internal and external client relationships with increasing autonomy while delivering strategic counsel across complex matters in tech, life sciences, and CPG sectors. Communicate complex legal issues effectively to support high-value, high-profile deals. This role offers substantive responsibility early in an associate's career within Morrison & Foerster's top-ranked Emerging Companies + Venture Capital practice.
Required Qualifications
- 4-6 years of significant experience in emerging companies and venture capital work
- Experience with venture financings using NVCA documents at a premier corporate practice
- Some experience with domestic M&A transactions, particularly for startups and investors
- Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in
- Strong academic credentials
- Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
