Job Summary
Emergent Bilingual Instructional Aide provides instructional support for Emergent Bilingual learners under the direction of the teacher. Responsibilities include working with individual students or small groups on instructional exercises, assisting in administering and scoring tests, supervising students inside and outside the classroom, maintaining administrative records and reports, preparing instructional materials and classroom displays, maintaining a neat classroom, assisting with inventory and maintenance of classroom equipment, and collaborating with staff to ensure effective communication and coordination. Requires ability to work with children, follow instructions, communicate effectively, and operate general office equipment; proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Google Suite; bilingual skills preferred. The role may involve indoor and outdoor activities, travel within local area, and handling physical tasks as described in working conditions. Education/certification requirements include a high school diploma or GED; associate degree or higher preferred; Texas educational aide certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
