Job Summary
Assist veterinarians with nursing care for hospitalized patients and medical care for outpatients while safely restraining animals using stress-free handling techniques. Perform procedures including catheterization, administering medications via all prescribed routes, and preparing patients for sedated and anesthetic procedures with full anesthesia monitoring and recovery care. Utilize in-house laboratory equipment to provide accurate results and safely take digital radiographs, while calculating drug dosages and possessing advanced emergency skills for a 24-hour facility. Work collaboratively with coworkers and communicate effectively with clients.
