Job Summary

Triage, treat, and monitor patients from minor to complex emergencies, delivering nursing care, IVs, blood transfusions, and anesthesia support. Perform diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement while managing critical care and CPR protocols. Collaborate with doctors to execute treatment plans and provide emotional support to pet parents during stressful moments. Work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis in a fast-paced, noisy environment with strong odors. Requires standing for prolonged periods and lifting up to 25 kg independently.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program
  • Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
  • 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role
  • Basic computer skills
  • Comprehension of practice management software
  • Electronic medical record keeping
  • Ability to stand for prolonged hours
  • Ability to kneel
  • Ability to work on the floor
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
  • Ability to support up to 40 kg with assistance
  • Willingness to work in a noisy environment
