Job Summary
Record and deliver organized rounds, evaluate incoming patients, and prioritize cases based on assessment. Partner with the patient care team on treatment plans, provide client education on home care and medications, and assist the DVM with assessments, treatments, and procedures. Monitor and provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, induce and monitor anesthesia and sedation, and perform in-house laboratory testing. Schedule is Sun-Wed 8p-6a with shift differentials for late-night and weekend hours. Prior experience in emergency settings and proficiency in drug calculations are required. Required Qualifications
- Prior veterinary experience
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred
- Proposed Schedule: Sun-Wed 8p-6a
