Emergency Veterinary Technician

Emergency Veterinary Technician sought to join MedVet’s fast-paced ER team. Responsibilities include recording and delivering organized rounds, evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing care, coordinating with the patient care team on treatment plans and nursing care, providing client education on home care instructions and medications, assisting the DVM with patient assessment and procedures, providing monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients, inducing and monitoring anesthesia and sedation, performing in-house laboratory testing and preparing samples for outside lab testing. Requirements include a State Registered Veterinary Technician license (license preferred), prior veterinary experience with emphasis on emergency care, strong drug calculation skills, ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment, and excellent communication.
