Job Summary
Day Shift Emergency Veterinary Nurse position at Ethos Veterinary Health's Malvern, PA hospital, supporting a rapid-response, 24/7 emergency/critical care team. Work alongside board-certified veterinarians and a large nursing staff to provide emergency services, using advanced imaging and surgical capabilities. Responsibilities include venipuncture and IVC placement, handling/restraint with animal-behavior awareness, and medical/nursing support across trauma, internal medicine, oncology, surgery, and anesthesia. Schedule features 3/12 shifts with weekend rotation; on-call options for anesthesia or treatment, plus on-call stipends. Competitive hourly pay with shift differentials and additional hourly premiums for specialty credentials. Required Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician with licensure/certification is required
- At least 1 year of veterinary nursing experience required; 3 years preferred
- Proficiency in venipuncture & IVC placement
- Understanding of animal behavior and proper handling/restraint
- Knowledge of small animal surgery, disease processes, and medicine; comfortable with dosages and calculations including CRIs and IVF additives
