Job Summary
Emergency Veterinary Technician position providing high-quality emergency care with the ICU/critical-care team. Key duties include triage assessments, venipuncture and IV catheter placement, safe administration of medications and fluids, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostic imaging and laboratory procedures (CBC, chemistry, iSTAT, UA), client education and documentation, cost-estimation support, and collaboration across hospital staff to ensure rapid, effective treatment for emergency cases. The role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing communication with veterinarians and support staff, and contribution to ongoing training and professional development in an ER setting.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent
- Veterinary technician license/certification
- Experience in emergency/critical care is a plus
