Job Summary
Nursing Trainer at VEG focuses on identifying individual and team training needs, coaching and mentorship, developing and refining training content (presentations, videos, simulations, assessments), and leading on-the-floor as well as strategic training initiatives. The role involves partnering with leadership, assessing assistants and credentialed technicians, driving the Cultivate program, organizing peer training, and traveling to VEG hospitals in the region to support onboarding and education. A high school diploma or equivalent with AVMA-accredited VT credential is required; CVT/RVT/LV T credentials in the state are necessary, with ECC/internal medicine/anesthesia/analgesia specialties as a plus. The position requires willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays and to collaboratively grow VEG’s learning culture.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program (strongly preferred)
- Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of practice
- Willingness to travel to other VEG hospitals in the region for onboarding assistance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ownership mindset toward team growth and development
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams
