Emergency Veterinary Nursing Trainer - Frisco, TX

Nursing Trainer at VEG leads and grows emergency veterinary education across VEG hospitals. You’ll identify training needs with leadership, assess assistants and credentialed technicians through observation and real-time immersion, and advance the organization’s Cultivate program. You’ll implement VEG training programs, serve as the go-to training lead at your hospital, and split time between on-the-floor mentoring and strategic development. You’ll tailor training content to diverse learning styles, organize peer training opportunities, collaborate with nursing managers and professional networks, and develop and refine materials (presentations, videos, simulations, and assessments) to ensure alignment with VEG’s culture and emergency standards of care. You’ll continually evaluate leveling programs for assistants and technicians, and travel to other VEG hospitals in your region as needed to support onboarding. The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology degree (preferred), and credentials as a veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT). You should be a strong communicator and collaborator, with a passion for teaching, ownership mindset over team growth, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as hospital needs dictate.
