Job Summary
Coach and mentor credentialed veterinary technicians and assistants with structured feedback, while addressing team issues with clarity to protect patients and staff. Collaborate with hospital leadership on performance, planning, and designing hospital flow to reflect VEG Spikes, ensuring people see a doctor immediately and families stay with pets. Manage nursing schedules, PTO requests, and daily coverage needs, leading team huddles to maintain alignment. Jump in to address customer concerns in real-time and partner with leadership for lasting solutions. Work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical veterinary nursing or technician role
- A focus on developing leadership skills
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, and work on the floor
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
- Ability to support up to 40 kg with assistance
- Willingness to work in a noisy environment with strong or unpleasant odors
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as needed basis based on hospital needs
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with people from all backgrounds and different personality types
