Job Summary
Emergency veterinary nursing manager responsible for leading nursing team, overseeing scheduling, payroll, hiring, onboarding, offboarding, addressing patient care issues, partnering with hospital leadership, ensuring licensure and education programs, and driving a culture of learning and clinical excellence across the team. Focuses on empowerment, collaboration, mentorship, and alignment with VEG values to enhance the emergency nursing experience for patients, clients, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located
- A.S. or B.S. from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program is strongly preferred
- 5+ years in a clinical veterinary nursing role, emergency-specific experience preferred
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Must be willing to work in a noisy environment with strong or unpleasant odors
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as needed basis based on hospital needs
