Job Summary

Ensure department healthcare team has the resources and tools needed to deliver the MedVet Experience. Coach team members on process improvement fundamentals to maintain efficient operations. Collaborate with other departments, develop and adjust schedules to maximize workflow efficiency, and manage department financial decisions. Provide comprehensive clinical onboarding training, offer continuous performance feedback, and negotiate conflict with the HR Partner. Perform initial screening of client concerns and collaborate with the hospital dyad to resolve issues. Attract and retain exceptional team members by fostering career growth and professional development. Split time between clinical and administrative duties, working a minimum of 40 hours in the hospital with flexible after-hour and weekend coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have standard knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours in the hospital unless otherwise approved by the Hospital Director
  • Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department, which includes a mix of after-hour and weekend coverage
  • Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
  • Must be able to prioritize duties and responsibilities to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to handle the stress of critical situations with ease
  • Must be able to shift gears quickly
  • Must be able to collaborate with other departments
  • Must be able to negotiate and mediate conflict in partnership with the HR Partner
  • Must be able to provide a comprehensive clinical onboarding training schedule for all team members
  • Must be able to provide ongoing and continuous performance feedback, instruction, and follow up to team members
  • Must be able to develop and maintain a team of engaged and empowered team members
  • Must be able to manage and influence department financial decisions and health
  • Must be able to perform initial screening of client and referral partner concerns
  • Must be able to provide written performance feedback and a development plan annually for each member of their healthcare team
  • Must be able to ensure department healthcare team has the resources and tools needed to deliver the MedVet Experience
  • Must be able to coach team members on fundamentals of process improvement
  • Must be able to develop, monitor, and adjust schedules according to workflow to maximize efficiency
  • Must be able to make recommendations in collaboration with the service/department representative for the purchase of needed supplies and equipment
  • Must be able to effectively influence behavior and lead change in a rapidly growing organization while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture
  • Must be able to attract and retain exceptional team members by providing an enriching Employee Experience that provides meaningful work, career growth, and ongoing professional development

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate degree or a combination of equivalent college level courses and experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
