Job Summary
Caregiver Assistants support Veterinarians and Technician Caregivers by running lab work, walking dogs, restraining patients, and keeping the hospital clean and stocked with supplies. The role includes 4 ten-hour shifts per week (including one weekend shift) with day and overnight options, and a compensation structure featuring experience-based base pay plus night and weekend differentials, holiday pay, and comprehensive benefits. Ideal candidates demonstrate calm efficiency in a high-stress veterinary environment, can work with team members to maintain a productive and respectful atmosphere, and have English fluency plus at least 1 year of animal restraint experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience with animal restraint
- Fluent English (speaking & reading)
- able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for 10 hours
- lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
- ability to interact with clients empathetically
- confident restraining animals during procedures
