Job Summary
Lead shift operations by monitoring patient status, managing daily workflow, and assigning roles with clarity. Coordinate breaks, resolve conflicts, and model calm under pressure while directing team huddles and end-of-day wrap-ups. Jump on the floor to assist with any task, flag incidents for transparency, and collaborate with leadership on coverage and coaching. Ensure clear communication with the team and pet parents while turning downtime into learning opportunities. Work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis in a fast-paced, noisy environment with strong odors.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT)
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician or assistant role
- Basic computer skills
- Comprehension of practice management software
- Electronic medical record keeping
- Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to work on the floor
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own
- Ability to support up to 40 kg with assistance
- Willingness to work in a noisy environment
- Willingness to work with strong or unpleasant odors
- Availability to work nights
