Job Summary
Per diem Emergency Veterinary Assistant in Dublin, OH, supporting triage, treatments, and nursing care in a fast-paced veterinary emergency setting. Responsibilities include assisting with bloodwork and imaging, catheter placement, oxygen support, anesthesia and sedation setup with credentialed technicians and veterinarians, administering IV fluids and medications, and participating in patient rounds to maintain continuity of care. Opportunities for growth into anesthesia support, ultrasound, and catheterization through guided training pathways; CPR training via RECOVER Certification (training provided). Requires strong communication, ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 kg (up to 40 kg with assistance), and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program a plus
- 1+ years in a veterinary assistant role (emergency or specialty experience is a bonus!)
