Job Summary
Perform basic to intermediate nursing care, patient monitoring, and treatments while triaging incoming patients using physical assessment and disease knowledge. Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications, including fluid therapy, constant rate infusions, and blood transfusions. Collect samples, perform diagnostic tests, and assist with sedation and surgical anesthesia under supervision. Maintain urinary catheters, nasal oxygen tubes, and oxygen cages while working alongside licensed veterinary technicians. Obtain additional training along guided growth pathways toward veterinary technician credentialing or leadership roles.
