Job Summary
Triage incoming patients using physical assessment and monitoring parameters, then perform basic to intermediate nursing care, treatments, and medication administration including IV fluids and blood transfusions. Collect samples for diagnostic tests and imaging, while assisting with sedation, surgical anesthesia, and advanced vascular access techniques under supervision. Maintain urinary catheters, nasal oxygen tubes, and oxygen cages, and participate in patient rounds to ensure continuity of care alongside licensed veterinary technicians. Obtain additional training through guided growth pathways toward credentialing, trainer roles, or leadership.
