Job Summary
Emergency Veterinarian responsible for triaging, diagnosing, treating, and hospitalizing or discharging emergency cases at a privately owned Emergency/Specialty Hospital with Level 1 VECCS certification. Locations in North Haven and Guilford, CT. Practice sees referrals and walk-ins; North Haven handles cats, dogs, and exotics, while Guilford handles cats/dogs. Features a flexible scheduling model with no on-call duties and a 3–4 day work week, collaborative team including internal medicine, anesthesia, critical care, cardiology, radiology, surgery, oncology, neurology, and rehabilitation, and mentorship opportunities. Offers a competitive base salary plus production (130k–240k), relocation assistance, sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits, and PTO. For North Haven, CT, the ER operates 24/7/365 with dedicated ICU support and ongoing continuing education and staff development.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent
- licensure to practice veterinary medicine in CT or eligible to obtain
- experience in emergency veterinary medicine preferred
