Job Summary
Per diem Emergency Veterinarian opportunity in Nashville, TN. Handle emergency cases across a busy ER with exotics, performing triage, physical exams, imaging (ultrasound, X-ray), bloodwork, and biopsies; develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans; communicate diagnoses and treatment options to clients; prepare estimates and maintain medical records. Lead on the hospital floor with a team, participate in mentorship and ongoing education programs, and contribute to a fast-paced, patient- and client-centered ER environment. Responsibilities include answering medical questions over the phone, conducting physical examinations, performing endoscopic procedures, and delivering high-quality care through to aftercare education. Requires DVM or equivalent degree and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; strong teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to emergency medicine. Required Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as needed basis
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, and lift up to 25 kg (with/without assistance)
