Emergency Veterinarian - Cambridge, MA

Emergency Veterinarian position in Cambridge, MA at VEG. Lead on the hospital floor providing emergency medical care for a broad range of cases including routine emergencies, complex surgeries, and exotics with mentorship and access to VEG Education programs. Responsibilities include triaging patients, collecting signalment and presenting complaints, performing physical exams and diagnostic tests (ultrasounds, X-rays, bloodwork, biopsies), forming diagnostic and therapeutic plans, communicating options with clients, preparing estimates, maintaining medical records, performing both minor and major emergency surgeries and endoscopic procedures, and educating clients on aftercare and prevention. Requires a DVM or equivalent, dedication to emergency medicine and emergency surgery, ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
