Job Summary
Emergency Veterinarian role in Brentwood, CA requiring DVM or equivalent, to lead and participate in emergency care across a busy ER service. You will triage, perform exams, imaging (ultrasound, X-ray), lab work, biopsies, diagnosis, and develop diagnostic/therapeutic plans; communicate options and estimates to clients; mentor teammates; participate in on-floor leadership and continuous learning through VEG Education programs and ER-focused CE; perform major and minor emergency surgeries and endoscopic procedures; treat a wide range of patients including exotics; work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Competitive compensation range is $140,000 - $350,000 per year for a full-time position, with base and potential production bonus, travel stipend, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- A DVM or equivalent degree
- Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 kg alone (40 kg with assistance)
- Experience in emergency medicine and endoscopy
- Comfort with handling exotics and performing emergency surgeries and endoscopic procedures
